I pride myself on being more than just someone to listen but someone to help you look at things in a different way.
The focus of my work is individual therapy and am comfortable working with clients from age 8 on up. I encourage the participation of families and caregivers when supporting children and youth as part of the process.
Some of the issues I address include anxiety, grief, depression, mood, trauma, parenting as well as life transitions, LGBTQ, aging and health. I have a trauma-informed ‘lens’ with a wellness perspective.
My style is eclectic, conversational and collaborative. I utilize a variety of approaches to meet the needs of those I work with, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) tools; Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Mindfulness techniques and an awareness of the impact of Family Systems is also central in what I do.
