Telehealth During
COVID 19

I began using Telehealth during COVID 19. Despite my initial doubts and reluctance after so many years of in-person, I discovered telehealth to be quite effective. Those I worked with acclimated – as did I. Driving to and from appointments in non-stop Austin traffic has been eliminated, allowing more time to remain at work and/or home. I recognize that some may prefer to remain in-person and respect this. For me, working online with adults has been a shift that has been positive for all involved.

First Appointment

Please access the Client Portal to complete initial intake forms, legal documents and review office policies as the first step in our work together. The Client Portal will enable secure messaging going forward and I have found it a convenient tool to communicate, answering questions and share documents. Know that I can also be reached by phone, text or email as you prefer. The fastest way is via the portal on Simple Practice or texting me.

During our first appointment we will discuss the concerns that have brought you to therapy as well as identify what success would look like in planning next steps together.

Insurance

I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, PPO., United Behavioral Health and anticipate Cigna in mid-2024. I also accept Medicare. Because all insurances are unique, it it best to have a copy of your insurance cards reviewed by my billing team to insure coverage and any co-pay.
My hourly rate is currently $135 an hour with flexibility to offer sliding scale for those with financial constraints.
For those whose insurance I do not accept, I can refer to colleagues who may accept your insurance. I ask that you make your payment in full at the time of service, either by credit card, or through Zelle or Venmo, You will be provided billing statements so you can file a claim with your insurance company if that is your preference.. Note that in order to receive benefits, I am required to provide a diagnosis which will be a matter of record in your medical history.

Office Hours

I currently take appointments between 8 am and 4pm. Other times later, earlier or on weekends can be individually discussed.

Cancellations or Missed Appointments

Please make every effort to cancel appointments at least 24 hours in advance so that the space can be made available to someone else. You will be responsible for full fee for sessions not cancelled 24 hours in advance. I will work to be flexible with individual situations.

Medication

I am not a medical doctor or medication prescriber. If medication is something you are considering, we can discuss your concerns and can assist in a referral.
